Farmers in all parts of the country use a little known trick to help prevent their crops from freezing temperatures should they experience them after their crops have bloomed. Farmers know that the air from the ground up to about 50 feet can experience much colder tempertures than the air just above 50 feet. The idea is to have a helicopter move back and forth across the field at about 20 feet, pulling the warmer air from above and pushing it on to their crops in hopes of preventing them from freezing. Wesson Aviation has provided this service in the past and was completely successful.
